Godiva Skin Care

February 2, 2013

Godiva Natural Skin Care launched its brand to the public held at SM City Davao - Annex. Godiva is the newest line of skin care products released in the country. Many famous bloggers, publicists, and influential people joined the celebration. They even distribute loot bags of freebies to the guests. There were also some booths out there where they will give you make overs, or they can test if your skin was dry or not and a lot more. It was really a successful event. I'm glad that i became part of it. Thanks to my cousin Lance for inviting me to be there.

Richard Poon in Davao

February 2, 2013, Richard Poon gave the Davaoenos an early valentines and Chinese New Year good luck this year. He serenaded the whole SM Lanang Premier with his soulful and jazzy music. It happened during the 3-Day Great Sale of the Mall. It's not really a long show yet he was able to amuse and amaze the people on his arrangements and approach to different style of songs, from classics to RNB and pop, though his real genre of music is Pop Standards. I'm really overwhelmed and thankful that i was able to experience hearing the ultimate crooner of the Philippines.

Travel: Ho Chi Minh - Day 1

I'm really excited for my first day. I am ready to explore and wander tot he wonders of Ho Chi Minh. My excitement is unexplainable. I'm just too ecstatic to walk around the city. So for our first stop, we went to the Reunification Palace, since it's the nearest spot from our hotel.
Reunification Palace w/as originally the presidential palace of the south and has been left untouched since the day the communist tanks crashed through the gates at the surrender of Saigon to the north. Be sure to check out the inside with its impressive recreation room, basement and the vintage equipment also left exactly as it was found since that day. It was really a great experience for me to be able to see all that.

Going Overseas!

I just had my first ever international / overseas trip last January 25-28, 2013. Our destination was the beautiful country of Vietnam, particularly the wonderful city of Ho Chi Minh or formerly known as Saigon. As much as I wanted to show you all 800+ photos from or trip, I find it quite inappropriate and it's going to be a long blog post if ever. So I'll just show you some photos that i took during the trip as a "sneak peek" for you as how wonderful Ho Chi Minh is.

Ho Chi Minh City. Who would have thought that this place has been the watchful witness and host to a country at war? Well now there’s only a thin presence and scattered evidence of the war efforts remain. The city is now a colorful, energetic, and chaotic metropolis driven forth by commerce and a unique blend of culture. Far from scarce on sights and attractions to discover here you’ll find yourself lost in a timeless wander through captivating museums, teeming markets, and fragrant roadside shops intermingled beneath skyscrapers and fashion malls. An attack on the senses, a city on the move, and full of endless vitality, you’ll need to prepare yourself for an exhilarating ride through this city.

L'usine

More than just a fashion boutique, cafe and art gallery, L’usine is a contemporary Vietnamese experience. Inspired by the timeless elegance and enterprising industry of the Indochina era, L’usine’s founders have designed a space that not only showcases global fashion but celebrates modern Vietnamese creativity.
Tucked away down a tight alley in the heart of Saigon, one of the city’s most pleasant cafes perches in an upstairs loft. Only a short walk from most of the city’s major sites, like the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Opera House, L’usine is a quiet oasis. Although it’s on the major shopping street of Dong Khoi it’s hard to find to the untrained eye. It will require a short walk down a dark alley lined by clothing and accessories boutiques; once at the end follow the signs up the stairs and you’ll find the cafe.

Touchdown: Vietnam!

It's my first time travelling overseas. Overwhelmed and i am super excited for this trip.Going out of town has never been customary in our family, it happens rarely. Every time we have a long break we only have domestic trips, never an international trip. Since everyone had the privilege to ward off stress during the holiday, our family took the advantage to visit Vietnam.

Upon arrival at the airport, i really feel ecstatic knowing that i'm already in another country outside Philippines. I really can't stay still. We arrived at the hotel at around 2:00 in the morning, Vietnam time. They are 1 hour behind than Philippines.

let's take it to the streets!

Times a precious thing to waste, but friends are more precious.
This is another random night shoot i had with two of my awesome friends, Janine and Antoine.
We just happen to love the lights and the empty street.
Here's a simple poem i read online that i can associate with the shoot we had. hope you like it.

Our Love
Loves memory has traced our outline in this place.
But will the spider remember, or the sun?
Did the water capture our faces in permanence?
Does the wind create us anew as it blows?
Did the shadows from the trees record our passage beneath them?
