From August 5 to September 4, 2016, SM Lanang Premier hails the ‘King of Fruits’ with a festival to support the city’s much-anticipated Kadayawan celebration.
The Kadayawan Durian Festival showcases the bountiful produce of key players in Davao’s durian industry. Already on its fourth year, it is the mall’s way of increasing patronage for the agricultural harvest of the local farmers. The many varieties of Durian being grown in the region are also highlighted in the festival.
Last August 5, 2016, SM officially launched the start of the Festival, and it was graced by distinguished guests, members of the media, bloggers and the people who made the festival possible.

The people at SM are very proud to be hosting this event and they are one with the city government in making sure that this year’s Kadayawan celebration promotes the very best of the art, culture and the unique offerings of the city, including its most celebrated fruit, the Durian.

We can grab a taste of Durian starting August 5, from 10am to 9pm, at SM Lanang Premier’s Fountain Court grounds.
They also have an "eat-all-you-can" Durian promos which is open from Mondays to Fridays, from 10am to 4pm. Other Durian by-products such as jam, candies, tarts and Davao’s other well-loved fruits such as mangosteen, marang, pomelo are also being sold at the event.
Since its launching, the Kadayawan Durian Festival has aimed to spread the word on Davao City as one of the country’s top-of-mind food tourism destinations. It'll surely be a hit!
