Toast Asian Kitchen and Tasting Room

Lately, a lot of new restaurants have been popping up here and there, which is a great thing because now we get to have more options and more food to try. Among these new restaurants is Toast Asian Kitchen & Tasting Room that offers a mix of popular Asian cuisine with a modern twist. It is located at the Ground Floor of the Ayala the 30th Mall in Pasig City.

This two-in-one restaurant has this "retro in the metro” feeling into it. I love their visually appealing interior and and great aesthetic that really uplifts the ambiance of the place. What a great treat for your dining experience.

At first glance, you won't imagine it as an Asian restaurant because of its industrial, rustic and modern look. It's like a wine and steak house type because of its dim lighting, classy and elegant furniture and decors adding up to the unfinished walls, bricks and wooden floor.

Toast Asian Kitchen and Tasting Room looks perfect for family gatherings, chill and hanging out session, and even romantic dates.

Their tasting room is also one of its kind! They have an extensive bar list with all things alcohol - whisky, gin, rum, cognac, vodka, tequila, wine, cocktails and even craft beer. Perfect place to chill and hangout with friends after work or on weekends.

Now, its time to try their food! I'm quite excited to try their offerings since i'm a super fan of Asian cuisine. They serve a playful Asian combinations and not your tradition authentic Asian cuisine in a wide array of delicious dishes that will surely make you drool and crave for it!hehe This is one best gastronomic experiences that I've had so far.

Here are some of the dishes i was able to try...

The first one we tried was their Yakitori. These are Japanese-style skewers were very tasty! You have an option to choose between a soy baste or teriyaki sauce to make your Yakitori more flavorful.

The next one we tried was the Tom Yum Meatballs. What a wonderful dish! If you're familiar of the Tom Yum, it's actually a classic hot and sour Thai soup, and its really amazing that they were able to innovate the dish into something like this! It's seasoned to perfection with tom yum spices, smothered with tom yum sauce and finished with melted cheddar cheese.

Here's one of the dishes that I really love! My favorite, and i'm sure you'll gonna love it too once you tried it. It's the Twice-Cooked Pork with Salted Egg Fried Rice.

The braised and seared pork belly tossed in honey and garlic was the bomb! Not just that, it's also served with a well-seasoned bed of salted egg fried rice. A Perfect combination of the sweet and savory taste.

Lastly, Here's the modern take of Toast Asian Cuisine in a classic Filipino favorite, Longganisa! They made their own version of a Longganisa Pasta. It's a soft yet firm al dente fusilli pasta with fried longganisa in a savory tomato cream sauce served with focaccia bread. This dish is enough for two people to share.

If you wish to stay a little bit longer after you dine in, well you may check out their cocktails and other drinks to try.

I really like the cocktails that they served us while enjoying our meal. The first one's the served us is the Nutty Evening Drink which is a peanut butter infused with Camus VS mixed with Honey, Frangelico, and Cacao brown. Weird right? but it's actually delicious and the taste is just right. Next is the fruit based cocktail, named Jack Sparrow; where sailor Jerry playfully shaken with Jack fruit, apple and lime juice, pandan syrup and egg whites. This is something unusual but it's actually one of the favorites in Toast signature cocktails.

Well, who doesn't love dessert? Even after a whole day of eating, we always have room for dessert, don't we? Here's some of the bestsellers and all-time favorite desserts from Toast Kitchen.

The first one is the Tapioca and Mango Trifle. It is a tapioca layered desert with cream, ripe mangoes, and broas. A simple yet delectable dessert.

Another dessert is the Dark Chocolate Mousse. It's made of Batangas tablea chocolate mousse with cream and chocnut powder. The boldness of the tablea and the combination of cream and chocnut powder worked wonders.
